HOW IT IS MADE?

I paint in an abstract style, using layers, characterised by transparency, lightness, fluidity and gentle expression, which allow me to sense the presence of movement.

I work with oil and mixed media on canvas. Whereas my initial works were compositionally dense and colourful; now, I am increasingly striving for nuanced refinements, spatiality and outstanding media, which best allow me to express my inner feelings. I like large-formats and sense of incompleteness... “Infinity always looks incomplete...” (J. Rubenis)

Exhibitions, Collaborations and Collections

Baiba participates in exhibitions from year 2002. Starting from year 2005, she has arranged multiple solo exhibitions. She has also taken part in group exhibitions in Latvia, USA and Belgium.

Some of Baiba’s artworks can be found in private collections all around the world – in USA, Norway, Germany, Spain, New Zealand, Estonia and Latvia.

If you buy the artwork —

If you buy the artwork directly from the artist, you support their heart’s work and the many years spent in studies and experiments of their craft, since the realest result never occurs in the beginning of ones artistic development process. Every single work of art is an original piece, which can not be duplicated.

Artworks of the collection are available in limited amount. Every artwork is made in multiple layers during a longer period of time.

Every painting is made in author’s technique, using oil and alkyd colours on a canvas that is stretched on a solid supported wooden frame.

The artwork is ready to be hanged on a wall. The outer frame is not necessary.

The paintings are packed in a secure veneer box when shipping. We are shipping worldwide.
